Industry Standard Software

Risk Register is based on the industry standard Microsoft Windows (R) environment. It has been carefully designed to use minimal amounts of computing resource.

It will operate on versions from Windows 95 to the most current. It is available as standalone or networked supporting multiple uses accessing a single database of risk information. Risk Register databases can be built in Microsoft Access (R) or Microsoft SQL Server (R).

Integration

Risk Register is an active risk management tool that generates action requests and reminders to individuals. Based on industry standard software, Risk Register can be readily integrated with existing e-mail systems to automatically send these requests and reminders out as e-mails.

Minimum System Requirements

To use Risk Register you need:

  • Windows 95 with Y2K Update 2 and IE 4.01 SP2 or later, Windows 98 SE with IE 4.01 SP2 or later, Windows Me, Windows NT Workstation with Service Pack SP6 or later and IE 4.01 SP2 or later, Windows 2000 Professional, Windows XP Home Edition or Windows XP Professional.

  • 80 megabytes (MB) of hard disk space.

  • 64 MB of RAM (256 MB recommended).

  • An Intel Pentium-class or compatible processor rated at 350 MHz or higher.

  • CD-ROM or DVD-ROM drive.

If the data is to be kept on a server then we recommend the following for the server specification:

  • Windows NT Server with Service Pack 5 or later, Windows 2000 Server.

  • 1GB of hard disk space (dependent on amount of data to be saved).

  • 256 MB of RAM

An Intel Pentium-class or compatible processor rated at 500 MHz or higher.
